An article at ABC News has given the new Obama site usaservice.org a black eye right out of the gate...
Apparently the high-minded psycho-babble put forth by Obama, Colin Powell, et. al., in an effort to create an American version of what really amounts to Hitler's "Jungen" filled with feel-good propaganda. Well ABC News' Teddy Davis surfed the site for a peek at the doings and happenings discovered that one event was a bar/restaurant holding a "Bush Shoe Toss" described as "a farewell to ole' Georgie" by throwing shoes at a poster of George Bush.
"Other than doing a "very cursory" review of the site on occasion to make sure there are no "glaringly inappropriate" events on the site, the Presidential Inaugural Committee is "not vetting the groups that are offering service opportunities or the individuals that are offering service opportunities or the people who want to participate," according to Linda Douglass, the committee's chief spokesperson.
"This is a hub," said Douglass. "It is very much like CraigsList, matching up individuals and groups who want to participate with opportunities to serve."
Asked about the "Bush Shoe Toss" advertised on Obama's site, Douglass said, "That obviously does not sound like any description of public service that we have in mind. But again, we are not in the business of regulating this. We're just in the business of giving people opportunities.""
I also love the abdication of any responsibility for the contents. Will the abdication also appear from Lord Obama when his economic policies irreparably damage America when he can no longer hide it from the American People?
This government sponsored service program for young people which Obama stated during the campaign would be mandatory service, plus his statements about a national defense force which would be just as powerful as the US Military occupying and providing internal security.. is even more disturbing.
An article appearing on WorldNetDaily detailing the comments and warning by Hilmar Von Campe, a former Hitler Youth participant. He stated the following "I lived the Nazi nightmare, and, as the old saying goes, 'A man with an experience is never at the mercy of a man with an argument,'" writes von Campe. "Everything I write is based on my personal experience in Nazi Germany. There is nothing theoretical about my description of what happens when a nation throws God out of government and society, and Christians become religious bystanders. I don't want to see a repetition. The role of God in human society is the decisive issue for this generation. My writing is part of my life of restitution for the crimes of a godless government, of the evil of which I was a part."
My father was Hitler Youth as a child, and when I was growing up, he didn't want to talk about it much, but the stories he did tell had all the earmarks what Obama stated...the youth group was compulsory, acted as a defense force, etc., the camaraderie was intended to create loyalty to the state, which in turn, demanded reporting "un-patriotic" behavior of family and friends. Even my mother, who grew up during the war in Germany, says she hears the same thing in Obama's speeches she heard as a child.
He further states the following which in and of itself... is a warning...
"Democratic procedures can be subverted and dishonest politicians are like sand in the gearbox, abundant, everywhere and destructive," he writes. "What I see in America today is people painting their cabins while the ship goes down. Today in America we are witnessing a repeat performance of the tragedy of 1933 when an entire nation let itself be led like a lamb to the Socialist slaughterhouse. This time, the end of freedom is inevitable unless America rises to her mission and destiny."
The only thing that I can add to this... is those that forget history, or in our case... ignore it.. are doomed to repeat it... and this time, the lights will go out forever if we don't reverse this.
